Some seven years earlier Ag & Turf had installed an intensive lateral system.

The slit drains were installed at one metre centres to a total of approximately 50,000 metres.
Trenching and backfilling took 13 days with one day lost to rain (photo C).

The first sand application was 10mm, a total of 500 cubic metres was spread (photos D & E).
The second sand application was six months later, at 5mm.
